The management team leading Rapid Interactive Disability Management (RIDM) into the ever changing world of claims management is comprised of highly skilled, experienced professionals completely dedicated to providing our clients with the highest level of customer service in our industry.
Mike McEvoy began his career in the industry initially as the Regional Manager and then as the National Director of Operations for Hooper Holmes Portamedic (1978-1986). Mike went on to found Rapid Med Plus which ultimately became The Rapid Med Group, and acted as its CEO from 1986-2004. In 2004, he became the CEO of Rapid Interactive Disability Management.
John Drudge is a Registered Rehabilitation Professional; a Canada Certified Rehabilitation Counselor; a Certified Disability Analyst; Certified Social Worker, and a Fellow of the American Board of Disability Analysts. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, and is a member of the Canadian Association of Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment. He obtained a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto in 1994; a Certificate in Vocational Rehabilitation Services from York University and Seneca College in 1990; and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University in 1988. He has published peer reviewed research articles and has worked full-time for the past 23 years in the fields of Assessment, Psychiatric and Physical Rehabilitation, Research, Vocational Rehabilitation, Chronic Pain Management, and Disability Management.
Mike WassermanExecutive Vice President
Mike Wasserman started in the life insurance industry in 1981 as a broker and went on to found Rapid Med Plus in 1986 with Mike McEvoy, which ultimately became The Rapid Med Group. Mr. Wasserman acted as Vice President from 1986 – 2004, and then joined Rapid Interactive Disability Management, as Executive Vice President. Mike also acts as the point person for a number of our largest accounts and excels in this regard.
David ByrneManaging Partner
David Byrne holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, University of British Columbia, 1992. He joined the Paramedical (new business underwriting) and Claims Management industry in 1992. David moved to Alberta in 1993 and opened offices in both Calgary and Edmonton for The Rapid Med Group. He became a partner in The Rapid Med Group (Western Division) in 1994. He took over the Vancouver office as well in 1995 and ran all Operations and Sales for Western Canada. Upon the sale of the paramedical division of the The Rapid Med Group to ExamOne (Quest Diagnostics) in 2003, David ran the Canadian Sales and Operations for ExamOne until 2009 when he joined Rapid Interactive Disability Management as a Partner. He currently runs the sales and operations of Rapid Interactive Disability Management in BC, Alberta, and the Maritimes.
Andrew McEvoyDirector, Chief Operating Officer
Andrew McEvoy has a background in Broadcast Communications and Management in the Toronto Media Market. He joined Rapid Interactive Disability Management in 2005 as a controller and systems analyst. He was instrumental in the development of the second generation of RIDM’s Claims Portal and internal operating systems. In 2011 he became the Director of National Operations for Rapid Interactive and its affiliate companies, and in 2013 became the Vice President of National Operations. Andrew brings to RIDM a broad range of systems and management skills and extensive training and knowledge in conflict resolution, market development, and operational systems.
Chris MackovskiNational Operations Manager
Chris Mackovski has a background in Health Sciences and the Financial Industry. He joined Rapid Interactive Disability Management in 2010 as a Document Specialist. His knowledge of office procedures and ability to implement new processes evolved into the role of Logistics Specialist in 2012. His background and meticulous attention to detail has also proved valuable as he plays an active role within the Quality Assurance and Accounting Departments. In 2017 he became National Operations Manager where he continues his proactive work ethic as a vital member of RIDM’s management team. Chris also provides high‐quality executive assistance to the management team where he also contributes to each new initiative RIDM embraces.
Sarah ChabotQuality Assurance Manager
Sarah Chabot graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2001. She initially joined RIDM as a coordinator in 2002, and then began working in the Quality Assurance Department in 2003. She currently functions as National Quality Assurance Manager for RIDM. She is fluent in all aspects of the SABS and is also familiar with the various governing legislations across the country with regard to assessment provision in numerous sectors.
Janet WeisserBranch Manager
Janet Weisser graduated from CDI College with Business Administration in Accounting in 1996. She initially joined The Rapid Med Group as a coordinator for paramedical services in 1996, and then became the Branch Manager in 1997. Upon the sale of the paramedical division of The Rapid Med Group to ExamOne (Quest Diagnostics) in 2003, Janet continued being the Branch Manager for Alberta. In 2010, Janet joined Rapid Interactive Disability Management as a Branch Manager for Alberta, the Prairies and for the Maritimes.
Jenn McAleerBC Operations Manager
Since 2004 Jenn McAleer has worked in the Independent Medical Examination, Medical-Legal, and Insurance Industries in the United States and British Columbia. She joined the Rapid Interactive Disability Management team in 2018. Her diverse occupational knowledge and experience within the IME/Medical-Legal Industry as well as her Paralegal background provides a strong foundation from which she effectively draws on to successfully and efficiently operate an IME workplace. Presently, she is the BC Operations Manager providing high-end client service and extraordinary doctor relationship management.
